This artwork features the Daigoji (醍醐寺) temple, one of the most important of Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism and a designated world heritage site. The large temple complex stands southeast of central Kyoto and includes an entire mountainside. This photo is taken in Autumn when the colors of the surrounding garden are as beautiful as ever during the year. The print is composed one or three sections of eco leather canvas that are hand-stretched over polished pinewood frames. The leather effect gives a unique texture and feel on the surface.
